The Ivorian Training Center for Social Security Executives (IM2S) was created by a Franco-Ivorian training agreement signed in Yamoussoukro between the National Centre for Advanced Social Security Studies (CNESSS), current National School for Social Security (EN3S) of Saint-Etienne, in France and the National Social Security Fund (CNPS) in Côte d'Ivoire.
 
Located at its inception in the premises of the National Institute for Social Education (INFS) in Cocody, the center was relocated in 1993 on the CNPS site in Yopougon.
 
March 6th, 2009
 
On March 06, 2009, the memo No. 088/CNPS/DG/2009 created IM2S.
 
June 11th, 2009
 
By Decision No 249/CM/CIPRES of June 11th 2009, amending process of implementation of the networked training system of the Inter African Social Security Conference (CIPRES)
It was arrested the following:
 
Article 1: The CIPRES training policy, originally designed on the basis of a network system of training centers to approve and to accredit, is now part of existing training facilities in CIPRES space.
 
Article 2: It is set up two training centers, one for Central Africa, in Yaoundé (Cameroon) and one for West Africa, in Abidjan (Ivory Coast).
 
Article 3: The Supervisory Committee and the Permanent Secretariat are instructed to get in touch with the Regional Centre for Labour Administration (CRADAT) and the Ivorian Center for Social Security Executives (CIFOCSS) to determine the practical arrangements in implementing the CIPRES training policy, on the basis of a coordinated and harmonized program.
