The National Social Security Fund(CNPS), in its normal functioning, consist of 21 bureaus nationwide.

Since 2002, because of the political and military crisis; the bureaus have been reduced to (15). Agencies from the north being closed, they have been relocated inside agencies of the south of the country.

TheSocial Security Authority named (CNPS)was created by decree 2000-487 of July 12 2000. CNPS is governed by act n°99-476 of August, 2nd 1999 defining and organizing the Social security authorities and by act n°99-477 dated above amending the Code of Social Security CNPS is a specific legal entity under private law , placed under technical guardianship of the Ministry in charge of the Social Security and financial guardianship of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

WHAT IS THE MISSION OF CNPS?

CNPS manages the complulsory System of social security for the workers and equivalent. In this respect, we collect social contributions and pay for allowances under pre-defined conditions. CNPS manages also additional or special, complusory or wilful plans.
